A Filipina who was acting strangely at an MTR station in Hong Kong was brought to the hospital.
In the viral video which was posted in Facebook, the woman can be seen in deep prayer while chanting, “Ako ang tagapagligtas ninyong lahat”. She was seen at Fortress Hill MTR Station last May 1 and was brought to the Pamela YoudeNethersole Eastern Hospital.
The Filipina domestic helper was also seen lying in the floor beside the turnstiles of the station. Security and people kept on watching her. She is also telling everyone that she is a Filipina.
One netizen claimed that the woman in the viral video was her town mate in Southern, Leyte. She also assured that her relatives already knew her condition and she is already taken-cared of in the hospital.
According to Lorna Obedoza from the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, the woman is indeed a domestic helper who was working in North Point. The employers of the woman was already informed regarding the incident and they paid a visit in the hospital.
Relatives of the woman in Leyte were also informed.
According to reports, the woman was single and has been on the same employer for seven years. It remains unclear why she suddenly had a breakdown.
Police authorities received a report around 9:15 in the morning regarding a foreign woman who is causing obstruction to other commuters in the Fortress Hill Station.
“Upon police arrival, the woman was brought to Ruttonjee Hospital for medical treatment. The case was classified as ‘suspected mentally disordered person found” says one of the police.
The woman was moved to Eastern Hospital that has a psychiatric ward.
