Kuwait City – A Filipina domestic helper was allegedly beaten by female employer following an argument.
According to reports, the woman seek help from the Philippine Embassy after the incident. Her employer allegedly got mad at the Filipina woman regarding issues related to her work, prompting her to assault the woman.
She escaped from her sponsor, took a taxi and went to the Philippine Embassy.
The Philippine Embassy helped the OFW and sent her to the hospital for a medical report.
The sponsor will be called for interrogation.
Just this week, it can be recalled that Philippine Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III said that the total deployment ban of Filipino to Kuwait will be partly lifted if the agreement of the Philippine and Kuwait will be signed.
“If there will be a lifting, it will only be for a moment – a lifting of the ban with respect to skilled workers,” says Bello.
