OFW Found Inside the Freezer Arrives Home From Kuwait; Family Welcomes Dead Body with Grief and Tears
It was such a heart-breaking scene to witness how Joana Daniela Demafelis, an OFW whose dead body was found inside the freezer was being prepared in Kuwait on her way home to the Philippines.
In a video shared by Elmer G. Cato on social media, her remains was seen placed inside a man-made wooden coffin by a team in Kuwait headed by Philippine Ambassador to Kuwait Rene Villa who went to Al-Sabah hospital to view her on Wednesday. The team also whispered their prayers as they last set their eyes on her.
This Friday morning, February 16, the remains of Demafelis arrived at the cargo terminal 1 of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). The airport was flooded with grief and ‘tears’ as relatives of the OFW sadly welcomed her cold body.
Meanwhile, Villa claimed that authorities in Kuwait also expressed their anger on the death of Demafelis and were shocked how it happened. They then vowed to bring the suspect to justice and do their best to locate him.
In previous news, reports stated that the Lebanese employer of the OFW is the prime suspect of the said crime. Authorities are already in search of him which will lead to his arrest together with his Syrian wife.
Wath the video from Kuwait.
