Wedding proposals are supposed to be a good event to celebrate. We have all heard of those men, kneeling down in front of their love to propose a lifetime commitment with her. However, everything turned out into disaster when Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah, ordered the immediate arrest of the couple who went viral online.
In the video, it can be seen that the man is dancing in front of Jeddah Corniche. After that, he went straight to her girlfriend and proposed marriage. A local media reported that the couple is Filipino.
Their gesture didn’t pass by the keen eyes of His Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah. They are set to get arrested because they violated a law in Saudi Arabia.
According to the laws, public display of affections are highly prohibited in public, much more to that unmarried couple.
A lot of netizens also got puzzled as to why the couple should be arrested.
“Make it clear to me please, which law did they break? Is it against the law to dance in Jeddah? What else did I miss on the video?” says GenevieBalnig-Yoneda.
Other netizens immediately cleared the commotion, explaining how the couple broke the law in Saudi Arabia.

“Dito pa kayo nagkalat ng kacorneyhan nyo pwede naman sa obhurna kayo kayolang nakakakita alam nyo nanam hindi natin to bansa tapos sisisihin nyo nanan ang gobyerno,” says Gilbert Oxales San Jose.
The couple still hasn’t issued their side of the story.
