Because of forging identification cards as well passports, this OFW in Las Vegas was arrested and currently in police custody.
It is said that the 41-year old Filipina, identified as Rachelle Miclat, operated a forgery lab inside her home where printers, ink, laminating machine, fake IDs and passports were found.
Miclat was also reported for acquiring a fake driver’s license and uses the name Rachelle Tylo.
Miclat will be released once she pays her bill worth $20,000 or approximately P1, 013,684.00. However, if the court finds her guilty, she will have to face jail term of up to 20 years.
Further details on Miclat’s case were not released.
In U.S, forgery is classified in three degrees – first degree, second degree and third degree. Each state in the U.S has their own laws that punished forgery offenders. Most states would punish offenders with more than one year imprisonment, pay a fine, or compensate the victim.
